God's Salvation Plan
God laid out His salvation plan so the whole world can either accept it through obedience or reject it. God does not intercede with our free will. Those that accept and obey the salvation plan as laid out in the scriptures will be rewarded with salvation, but those that disregard God's plan will be condemned.
Mark 16:15-16 NKJV 15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
We cannot be one who serves God unless we enter His kingdom which is the church (Matthew 16:18-19).
What must we do to be saved and added to His kingdom?
The Philippian jailor asked the same question many of us are asking.
Acts 16:30-31 NKJV 30 And he brought them out and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
We must hear the word
"So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17).
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." (Romans 1:16).
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock."(Matthew 7:24-25).
We must believe in Jesus.
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:16).
"Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (John 8:24).
"So they said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household." (Acts 16:31).
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:6).
We must repent or turn from our sins.
"I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." (Luke 13:3).
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent," (Acts 17:30).
"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38).
We must confess that Jesus Christ. is the Son of God.
"that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10).
"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32-33).
"Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?" Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him." (Acts 8:35-38).
We must be immersed in water for the remission of our sins.
"Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38).
"There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ." (1 Peter 3:21).
"He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:16).
We must life faithfully until the end.
"... Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life." (Revelation 2:10).
"And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 10:22).
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58)
